Display three coins, a coffee cup, and a BIC pen. "Watch closely," you advise while holding one of the coins. Wave the pen over your hand and the coin disappears, then pick up the cup and suddenly there's a loud clink - the coin has mysteriously dropped inside!

Say, "This time I won't touch the cup." Take the second coin and wave the pen over your hand. Again the coin vanishes, and again there is a loud clink inside the cup even though no one is anywhere near it! Dump out both coins, display them, then replace them inside.

"This time I'll cover the cup so there's no way the coin could get inside." Use a deck of cards to cover the mouth of the cup. Take the last coin in your hand and slowly wave the pen, explaining, "It's going to happen on the count of three. One, two..."

"Three!" At that instant the coin vanishes from your hand and a loud clink is heard from inside the cup. You reach over, lift off the deck and dump all three coins from the cup, leaving your audience completely flabbergasted!
